Four principles for the installation of slewing bearings

Rotary bearings are a new type of mechanical component and an essential transmission part of machinery. 1、Before installing the slewing bearing device, it is necessary to inspect the device surface of the main engine. The supporting components should have sufficient strength, the connecting surfaces should be machined, and the surface should be flat and free of debris and burrs. For those that cannot achieve the required flatness through mechanical processing, special plastics with high injection strength can be used as fillers to ensure the accuracy of the device's flatness and to reduce vibration.
2、When installing the slewing bearing, radial positioning should be carried out first, and the bolts of the device should be inserted and tightened, and the slewing condition of the bearing should be checked. In order to ensure smooth bearing transmission, the gears should be checked for meshing before tightening the device bolts. When tightening the bolts, there should be a sufficient pre tightening force, which should be 70% of the material yield limit of the bolt. The device bolts should be equipped with tempered flat washers, and the use of tension spring washers is prohibited.
3、The end of the slewing bearing device should be filled with an appropriate amount of smooth grease, and the slewing bearing should be filled while rotating to evenly distribute the smooth grease. After working for a period of time, the rotary bearings will inevitably lose some of their smooth grease, so the smooth grease should be replenished every 50-100 hours after the normal operation of the rotary bearings. For rotary bearings working in high-temperature environments or dusty conditions, the period for adding smooth grease should be appropriately shorter.
4、Packaging, transportation, and storage of slewing bearings: Before packaging the slewing bearings, it is necessary to apply rust proof and smooth dual-use grease to the inner and outer raceways, then wrap them with plastic film, composite kraft paper, and industrial wrapping tape for internal packaging. Special wooden or iron boxes are used for the outer packaging.
5、During transportation, bearings should be placed horizontally on vehicles, and measures should be taken to avoid sliding and oscillation.
